We are seeking a passionate and talented Occupational Therapist to join our team. Being an independent contractor means that you control your own schedule!

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children’s developmental, physical, and sensory abilities.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
Regularly review and adjust treatment plans to reflect progress and evolving needs.
Therapeutic Interventions:
Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to address motor skills, sensory integration, cognitive development, and daily living activities.
Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and activities tailored to each child’s needs and goals.
Support children in improving fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing.
Family and Caregiver Collaboration:
Educate and train families and caregivers on strategies to support the child’s therapy goals at home.
Provide guidance and resources to help families navigate their child’s needs and progress.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
Prepare and submit reports as required for evaluations, insurance claims, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Communicate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, speech therapists, and pediatricians, to coordinate care.
Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed.
Professional Development:
Stay informed about advancements in pediatric occupational therapy practices and research.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience working with children in a clinical or educational setting preferred.
Experience with pediatric feeding therapy preferred, but not required.
Strong understanding of pediatric development, sensory processing, and motor skill development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with families and other professionals.
Compassionate, patient, and able to build rapport with children and their families.
