Marissa

Marissa is originally from New Jersey, where she graduated from Kean University in 2016 with her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. She later earned a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2019, specializing primarily in adult and geriatric rehabilitation.


Marissa provided services for more than three years through New Jersey’s Early Intervention System for children ages 0–3 and through private pediatric agencies for children ages 3–18 before relocating with her family to South Carolina in 2022. Her areas of expertise include SPD, autism, ADD/ADHD, feeding and ADL difficulties, adaptive technology and specialized wheelchairs and equipment, developmental delay, neurological disorders, physical disabilities, and behavioral disorders.


Marissa enjoys collaborating with families and her therapy team to brainstorm techniques, solve problems, and explore new approaches during treatment. She passionately supports families and staff through telehealth. Outside of work, Marissa loves baking, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family and little one.
