About the Role
We are seeking a talented and passionate speech language pathologist to support our team as an independent contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and patient history.
Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient. Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective therapy outcomes.
Therapy Delivery: Provide direct speech and language therapy to patients in an outpatient setting. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to address speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice disorders, and cognitive-communication skills.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment plans, and strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in team meetings as needed.
Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Work Environment: Outpatient clinic with a supportive team-oriented atmosphere.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that involve direct patient interaction, including sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
Requirements
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA Certification, and state licensure.

Skills: Strong assessment and therapeutic skills, excellent communication, and a passion for helping others.
Experience: 1 year+ experience required. Adult and pediatric experience preferred.
Other Requirements: Comprehensive technological skills for use of web-based systems including email, word processing, data sheets, electronic medical records, and digital faxing.
