Our Summer 2025 Literacy Intensive Program is designed to help students of all abilities build a solid literacy foundation, get ahead in reading, or receive extra support where needed. This program is for any child who wants to improve their reading skills, whether they are struggling with foundational literacy concepts or simply looking to strengthen their abilities.

About Orton Gillingham
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a highly effective, research-backed method for teaching literacy, designed to address the challenges faced by individuals for whom reading, writing, and spelling do not come easily. This direct and explicit approach is multisensory, meaning it engages visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles to reinforce language skills. It is structured and sequential, breaking down language into its smallest components and gradually building up to more complex concepts, ensuring that learning progresses in a logical, step-by-step manner. Additionally, the Orton-Gillingham method is diagnostic and prescriptive, allowing for continuous assessment and adjustment of instruction based on each student’s specific needs. While it is especially beneficial for individuals with dyslexia or other learning challenges, this approach is widely effective for all students, providing them with the tools and strategies they need to master the essential skills of reading, writing, and spelling.
