About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our Marigold team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing therapeutic support to individuals across the lifespan, with a focus on mental wellness, emotional regulation, and personal growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical interviews and standardized measures. Formulate accurate diagnoses based on clinical observations and DSM-5 criteria.

Treatment Planning:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based modalities tailored to each client’s unique goals, challenges, and strengths.

Therapy Delivery:
Provide direct counseling services in an outpatient setting, utilizing modalities such as CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Support clients in managing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and life transitions.

Client and Family Education:
Educate clients and, when appropriate, families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, and resources to encourage active participation in the therapeutic process.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical records, including treatment notes, assessments, and progress reports, in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Collaboration:
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and medical providers to support holistic client care. Participate in case consultations and team meetings.

Professional Development:
Engage in ongoing professional education and training. Stay informed about best practices, emerging therapies, and changes in mental health regulations.

Work Environment:
Outpatient clinic with a supportive, team-oriented culture. Emphasis on clinician well-being, collaboration, and professional growth.

Physical Demands:
Position requires standard office activity including sitting, light movement, and occasional support in therapy-related tasks (no heavy lifting required).

Requirements

Qualifications: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program. Must hold a valid Wisconsin LPC license (or be license-eligible).

Skills: Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills; proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions; excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities; and a commitment to ethical, client-centered care.

Experience: Experience providing therapy to both pediatric and adult populations is preferred. Background in trauma-informed care, neurodiversity, or family systems work is a plus.

Other Requirements: Comfort and competence using web-based platforms, electronic medical records (EMR), email, and digital communication tools. Certification or advanced training in specialized modalities (e.g., EMDR, TF-CBT, play therapy) is highly desirable.
