About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Marigold team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing effective physical therapy programs tailored to meet the individual needs of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care, and various treatment modalities to enhance patient recovery and mobility. Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to physical disorders. Develop accurate diagnoses based on clinical findings and patient history.
Treatment Planning: Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each patient. Utilize evidence-based practices to ensure effective therapy outcomes.
Therapy Delivery: Provide direct physical therapy to patients in an outpatient or home setting. Use a variety of therapeutic techniques and tools to address mobility, balance, strength, and functional limitations. Tailor each treatment plan to the individual needs of the patient, with a focus on promoting independence, reducing pain, and improving overall quality of life. Monitor patient progress regularly and adjust interventions accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about physical therapy treatment plans, and strategies to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including speech language pathologists, physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive patient care. Participate in team meetings as needed.
Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the field of physical therapy through continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Work Environment: Outpatient clinic with a supportive team-oriented atmosphere.
Physical Demands: Ability to perform tasks that involve direct patient interaction, including sitting, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 60-80 pounds.
Requirements
Qualifications: Doctorate or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; valid state licensure required.
Skills: Proficient in patient assessment and treatment planning, strong manual therapy and therapeutic exercise skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Experience: Experience working with both adult and pediatric populations preferred.
Other Requirements: Solid technological proficiency, including use of web-based platforms, email, word processing, electronic medical records (EMR), documentation systems, and digital communication tools. Certifications in field specific areas is a plus (e.g., dry needling).
